We're pleased to announce new leadership roles marking an exciting new chapter for the firm’s leadership.
We're pleased to announced that Sarah Fairbrother has been appointed as Chief Executive Officer (CEO), and Adrian Long has taken on the role of Chair.
The new appointments represent a structured shift toward a collaborative leadership model in anticipation of the eventual retirement of current Managing Director, Chris Dewey. However Chris will remain closely involved with the firm throughout this transition.
Speaking on the transition, Chris said:
"These discussions have been taking place at Director level for some time, and this approach is very much in line with the direction we have been working towards. It is not a sudden change in direction, but rather a natural, gradual transition that is already underway. I am very pleased that Sarah and Adrian have agreed to take on these roles. I have every confidence that they will work exceptionally well together to lead the firm forward, and I look forward to supporting them and the wider team as we move through this period."
Sarah added:
“It’s an honour to be trusted to lead the firm into the future, having first stepped inside the firm in 2009, WGA has been a major part of my career. I am excited to be working alongside Adrian and to see our team thrive and continue to deliver to our clients.”
Adrian said:
“I originally joined as a trainee at Archer & Archer, I’m proud to have been asked to become Chair of WGA and will ensure Chris’ dedication to ensuring a well run firm is continued, I’m thrilled to deliver this working alongside Sarah.”
Clients and staff can expect business as usual, with no changes to WGA’s day-to-day operations. The steady, phased transition has been designed specifically to guarantee complete continuity of service, maintaining the high standards and client-focused approach that WGA is known for, while positioning the firm strongly for the future.
