Director | Kings Lynn Tuesday Market Place

Rebecca Beynon-Phillips

I have recently joined Ward Gethin Archer as a Director in the Dispute Resolution team and bring over 18 years of experience to the role. I have been qualified as a solicitor since 2007 and have worked in Dispute Resolution since qualification.

I act on a wide range of disputes including commercial claims, property (residential and commercial), corporate, contested probate, debt recovery, enforcement proceedings and professional negligence claims. I work with both individual clients and businesses to provide pragmatic advice on pursuing/defending a claim, including participation in alternative dispute resolution (ADR) such as mediation and without prejudice negotiations.

I joined Ward Gethin Archer because of its long-standing reputation and links to the local community. I moved to Norfolk a number of years ago and was excited about the opportunity to work closer to home and to forge connections locally. The Dispute Resolution team is already a strong team with a wealth of experience, so I look forward to working with them to continue to offer an excellent service.

My Work History & Experience

I studied law at the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), graduating in 2001. I undertook my LPC at the College of Law in London and subsequently joined a Legal 500 firm in the City of London to undertake my training contract. During training, I worked in a number of different areas including property, corporate/commercial and disputes. Upon qualifying, I decided to join the Disputes team as I had enjoyed working on contentious matters, however my time in the property and corporate departments supported my knowledge in these types of claims.

I worked in London until the end of 2022, moving at the start of 2023 to a firm in Peterborough following a relocation to Norfolk. I worked in Peterborough for nearly three and half years and undertook a wide variety of disputes, acting on behalf of local individuals and businesses, as well as national corporations. I decided to move to Ward Gethin Archer this year and have received a warm welcome since joining the firm.

What I Can Do For You

I take a pragmatic and client focused approach to disputes to explore both the practical and legal solutions. I ensure that I gain a thorough understanding of my clients’ objectives and provide realistic advice on prospects of success and costs. I am also keen to explore ADR with clients, where appropriate, and have settled many matters through negotiation or mediation.

About me

Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, travelling abroad, reading a good book and going for long walks with our dog, Lola.
