Work Experience
You will be required to attend the office to Wednesday – Friday , with core hours of 9:00 – 5:00 (with a one hour break for lunch).
We are not able to offer work experience outside of the placement dates detailed. We require all applicants to complete the application form below.
Many of our current Directors trained at Ward Gethin Archer and we understand that work experience is a great way for those at the start of their career to get a better understanding of what their future career could entail. We are also keen to find potential future employees who we can look to assist in qualification and retain within the firm to potentially become a future Director themselves.
Training Contracts
We pride ourselves on offering Trainee Solicitors the opportunity to learn within a supportive environment. Our intention is to ensure our Trainees qualify with all the knowledge and experience they need for a successful career in law and more importantly with a desire to stay and continue to grow within our firm. Many of our current Directors started as Trainees at the firm and to date we have always offered a contract of employment to those that complete their Training Contract with us.
We usually offer three seats to our Trainee solicitors undertaking both contentious and non-contentious work within areas such as Conveyancing, Private Client, Litigation and Family. We aim to provide a flexible approach that allows our Trainees to gain more experience within departments that they enjoy, have a particular interest in and show an aptitude for. We would hope you complete your final few months of training in the area you will look to qualify into.
We are passionate about offering a personal service to the local community and as a Trainee there are likely to be several opportunities to be involved in local charity events and fundraising alongside your legal training.
